Heimish Eye Patches

Full Heimish Eye Patches Review: Bulgarian Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch

Eye patches are a big thing in my life, they literally start my day since I need that refreshing feel under my eyes that depuffs my eyes. For some people it is coffee, in my case, it is the eye patches. Just like everything in life, not all eye patches are made equally. It is important to find an eye patch that is cooling, hydrating, depuffing, and most importantly, one that won’t break the bank.

Heimish is a Korean brand with many skin products; I enjoy using most of them. In this review, we are going to look at Heimish eye patches, specifically the Bulgarian Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch.

What is Heimish Bulgarian Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch claiming to be?

As a big fan of eye patches, this one was a must for me to try, mainly because I think unlike using eye creams, eye patches give you instant results. You can see your undereye getting visibly depuffed and tightened. In this Heimish eye patch review, we are going to see if it did the job or not. So, let’s dive in!

According to the official Heimish website, it is a multifunctional eye patch that targets wrinkles under the eyes while brightening them and providing hydration. It is infused with Bulgarian rose water, which is the star name, Damask Rose Water, Niacinamide, Adenosine, and Damask Rose Water. All of these are skin-loving ingredients that soothe the skin while leaving it moisturized and supple. Plus, these Heimish eye patches are eco-friendly and water-soluble.

Ingredient list

I think the ingredient list is quite unique for an eye patch since it includes ingredients that are very versatile and perform a number of tasks on the skin. This list has many soothing ingredients, oils, plant extracts, and hydrating skin players. Here are the ones you should know about:

Damask rose water

Also known as Rosa damascena, the Damask rose originates from the Middle East, it is also cultivated in places like Iran, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Its rose water is packed with antioxidants to fight cell damage, contains flavonoids, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Niacinamide

To be honest, I was a bit taken aback when I found out there is niacinamide in these eye patches. Being a powerhouse skincare ingredient, niacinamide (aka Vitamin B3) is just a must-have ingredient for any skin type. It is very close to being the “one” in skincare. It is great for acne, redness, skin brightening, you name it! We have dedicated a blog post to its wonders, check it out:

The Complete Guide To Vitamin B3 For Skin

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract

I know by now everyone knows about the skin benefits of coconut. Although its use in skincare can be controversial, (as in no, coconut oil isn’t going to treat your acne) in some cases, it works better than it is combined in a skincare product. It is high in fatty acids, proteins, and Vitamin B and it works great as an emollient. (meaning, it has softening qualities)

Adenosine

This name might not ring a bell, but it is a very effective anti-aging agent. It works against wrinkles and fine lines while leaving soothing the skin. I guess this is the main anti-wrinkle in these Heimish eye patches.

Centella Asiatica Extract

The God of all skin ingredients for sensitive skin – Centella Asiatica! If you have sensitive skin, you probably have used this in your life. Centella or Cica has been around for a while, it is hydrating, anti-redness, and very gentle on the skin.

Check out our blog post to learn more about Centella 🙂

Sodium Hyaluronate

Sodium Hyaluronate is a derivative of Hyaluronic acid, the best humectant you can find. Humectants attract moisture into the skin and ensure it is all locked in. It is great for all skin types, as moisture is essential for skin survival, after all!

Allantoin

Another ingredient with moisturizing abilities! Allantoin might not be the most popular name out there, but it is a hidden hero that does a lot of things for the skin. It is soothing, moisturizing, and acts as an emollient in skincare products.

Titanium Dioxide

Any mineral sunscreen fans here? If you are, you have heard about this one. It is a mineral UV filter that blocks harmful sun rays from reaching the skin.

Texture & Consistency of Heimish Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch

Overall, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The patches are quite thin and weightless. Because they are made from hydrogel, they are transparent.

There are tiny, pinkish glitters on them which look really cute. You can tell that they are hydrogel eye patches right away.

Packaging & Scent

The packaging is minimalistic and quite modern in my opinion. It does have a fancy feel to it, although it doesn’t fall into the category of luxury skincare. If you have used Heimish products before, you can see how their products follow the same design which I find to be lovely.

Love the pastel colors and the overall feel when you hold it! The carton of the products is sealed, which is nice in terms of protection. When you open it up, you get the tub containing 60 pieces of eye patches that I used for almost a month.

When you open the cover of the tub, you find the small plastic spatula. This is a small detail, but it comes in handy when using the patches since it can be a challenge to pick them up with fingers. You know how slippery those patches can be! You definitely don’t want to tear up those thin eye patches. So, the spatula isn’t exactly the hero here, but it is very helpful in terms of not damaging the product.

The patches are very lightweight and thin, you can barely feel them under your eyes. Also, I love that pink glitter of them which looks very cute and feminine.

Scent

As you can tell from the name, Heimish Rose water eye patches smell like rosewater. I am really into the way they smell, it is not pungent at all, just the right amount of smell if you ask me.

These Heimish eye patches do their job well to depuff and hydrate the under eyes. Except for the adhering qualities, that fell a bit short.

These Heimish Rose water eye patches do make it to my list of favorite eye patches, although they are not at the top of the list. Still, A for effort!

Performance-wise, I think these patches did confirm most of their claims. They definitely give the under eyes hydration, depuff easily, and plump up the skin. The essence of the patches gets absorbed by the skin right off the bat and they have a nice cooling effect which I am here for.

I like putting eye patches on in the morning in general, however, I felt like with these using them as the last step of the skincare routine worked better. It is also great to wake up in the morning with fresh eyes, after so much blue screen exposure throughout the day, I think they did a great job of minimizing the tiredness of the eyes.

They definitely do hydrate the under eyes, however, I haven’t seen much of the anti-wrinkle effect. It might partly be due to the fact that I have only used them for a month. I believe because of Adenosine, they might target under-eye wrinkles in the long run.

I had little trouble keeping them locked to the skin, they would slip down at the beginning. After pushing them into the skin after a few minutes, they would stay locked. It did take some adjusting at the beginning though.

How to use Heimish Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch?

It is no rocket science to know how to use the Heimish rosewater eye patches, so no worries! 🙂

Just scoop them out with the spatula and place them under the eyes. Make sure they adhere to the skin well, even though they might slip down at the beginning.

Leave them on for 20-30 mins max, although once I did leave it for almost an hour and it was totally fine.

Who is these Heimish eye patches for?

All skin types can benefit from Heimish Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch, just as their website claims.

I have sensitive under eyes, I didn’t experience any irritation, so def go for it if you have sensitive skin.

If your under eyes are dehydrated and dull, and you need instant moisture and depuffing this product is for you. And, if you don’t mind a mild rosewater smell, then you should give this one a try.

Where can you get Heimish Bulgarian Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch?

Typically, you would find Heimish at Korean stores, so a good place to find these Heimish eye patches would be online stores like Yesstyle.

Additionally, you can order with Amazon, ($22) or IHerb (under $13) if you live in the States.

Final verdict on Heimish Eye Patch Review

Overall, the Heimish Bulgarian Rose water Hydrogel Eye Patch is a versatile product that yields good result in a very short time.

I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for an eye patch that is not luxury but yet has a luxury feel to it. However, remember that some under-eye issues can not be addressed with just eye patches, so using a certain eye cream might be more useful, in my opinion.
